Hello! Time for an update on how far along we are with saving our pub, the Dolphin Inn, from closure. We have had amazing support from the village community and beyond.

Thanks to your fantastic response to our very first Fundraising Appeal exceeding its target within 24 hours. You have raised the necessary funds to register with The Plunkett Foundation, enabling us to consult with them for specialist advice on the best route to take this all the way to Community Ownership (if no other Brewery of independent private buyer materialises). The application has been completed and submitted. The next step will be a meeting where we will take advice so that we set up in the most beneficial way for our community. Registration of the Community Benefit Society is next on the list.

We will then be in a position to take that giant leap forward into raising the funds required to purchase the Freehold of the Dolphin Inn, and start trading!

It will be a long road, but hopefully, not too winding, and we will keep you updated with the news regularly.

Everyone that completed the survey and left an email address will receive updates via a regular newsletter. We will need expert help with many things over the next few weeks and months, so please, if you are able to offer support and assistance with any element of this fantastic community project, please hop over to the website and register your email address or pop us a message on any of our social accounts.
